Why is this? Those of us who live here could give a hundred different reasons for this honor, but ranking at the top would have to be the friendliness of the people, the food and the music. There are no strangers in Louisiana. Wherever you go in the state, people are all too happy to meet you, help you and tell you all about our beautiful state, rich in culture and food.

CrawfishA common phrase in Louisiana is “Laissez les bon temps rouler”.  Even if you do not know French, we all know that it means “Let the good times roll”, and we certainly do that. Our Cajun, Zydeco and Jazz music, gumbo and crawfish dishes and the best seafood anywhere in the world is only a small part of what makes us unique. We have festivals to celebrate everything: Crawfish, sweet potato pies, various types of seafood, local music, frogs, Cochon de Lait (roasted pig) and so much more. So many reasons to celebrate and party! Our cities offer experiences that you won’t find anywhere; our towns and countryside offer beautiful swamps, gorgeous sunsets, and friendly and interesting people.swamp
